Common questions.
Practical answers about this course and its topics.
What is the difference between maintenance and a thorough examination?
Maintenance keeps a lift in safe working order through regular servicing, adjustment and replacement of worn parts. A thorough examination is an independent assessment by a competent person that finds defects and reports on them. One does not replace the other.
How do I know if my lift is being maintained properly?
Look for a written schedule, visit reports that say what was done, a clear record of call-outs and repairs, and LOLER reports with defects closed out on time. The lessons in this course show what to look for.
