Quick answers on examinations, frequency, independence and reporting.
What is a LOLER inspection?
A LOLER thorough examination is a statutory safety inspection of a lift by a competent person, separate from routine maintenance. It checks the lift is safe to use and records any defects.
How often is a LOLER inspection required?
Passenger lifts are usually examined every 6 months, and goods-only lifts every 12 months, subject to a risk assessment. We track due dates so you never miss one.
Which areas of London do you cover?
We cover all London boroughs plus Kent and the wider South East, with 46 service areas. Engineers are dispatched from the nearest location to keep response times down.
Can you inspect lifts you don't maintain?
Yes. Our LOLER examinations are independent and we inspect lifts regardless of who maintains them, which keeps the examination free of any conflict of interest.
What happens if the inspection finds a defect?
Defects are classified by severity and detailed in your report, with clear timescales. We can quote and carry out the remedial work, or you can use your existing maintainer.
